Dale Kreutzer
Rio Grande Southern

The layout depicts the RGS Second District from Durango to Dolores, CO in the 1920's. This rarely modeled area was known for its coal, lumber and agriculture traffic, as well as gold ore shipments out of May Day. The single track, point to point mainline is 191 feet long with three primary towns and a maximum grade of 3% where helpers are often required. Locomotives are sound equipped, and range in size from C-16 2-8-0's to 2-8-2 K-27's. Track and turnouts are hand laid Code 55 and 40. Operators will have their choice of scheduled mixed, freight trains, and turns. Dispatching is TT/TO with telephone communications.
