Lee Thwaits Freelanced double deck point to point operation with a Southern Pacific and its subsidiary D&RGW standard gauge mid 50's theme. Operations are way freight to online industries (12) powered by small steam. Mainline freights powered by heavy steam. No diesels. Hand laid turnouts, scratch built and kit structures, 2 yards with common engine terminal. Branch line with logging, sawmill, stock pen, and other switching. 1 yard (Ware) has switching to adjacent warehouses. The layout was built for way freight operation. I do not yet have track signals installed although I hope to have them by Soundrail. Occasional through freights run from yards to below-layout storage tracks. I feel that layout operations are entertainment and not a job where you are governed by schedules and a clock, therefore I do not use schedules or a clock. My personal interests are actual layout construction and having prototypically correct locos and cars.
